INFORMATION MASTERCLASS

15 hours over 3 days, with a public presentation on the 25th.
Schedule: 10:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.–4:00 p.m.
MTV is offering a masterclass on contemporary Argentine tango in an orchestral context, led by Juan Pablo Gallardo and Facundo Torres, with guest musicians: led by Juan Pablo Gallardo and Facundo Torres, with guest musicians: Zaid Esmat Shawket (violin) and Inès de Montesquieu (double bass).
It is open to instrumentalists and two selected singers, who must submit recordings by March 1, 2026 for audition. Selected singers will also receive two preparatory online classes focused on diction, melody, and orchestral singing with Nazarena Cáceres.
The masterclass is open to the following instruments: piano, violin, viola, cello, bandoneon, double bass, and wind instruments.
Arrangements by major contemporary orchestras from Buenos Aires will be studied. A selection of sung tangos and several instrumental pieces.
